I really, really wanted Deshaunte to pick us. And not just for his incredible talent, but for who he is - at least, from reading about him, he and his brother seem to be sensational people. That's keenly important in our program.

I want his brother to pick us, too, for the very same reasons. (Is he a junior? It's been a few days since I read the article about them. Maybe he'll become the first commit of the 2017 class!)

His HS highlight tape looks similar to that of Leonard Johnson. 5'10" athlete at quarterback running the veer. Some sites list him as WR, others as ATH. Either way, he's a heck of a football player that we can count on to make plays.

And so many people said it's impossible to recruit decently at ISU. I think Campbell has proven he can pull in some good talent. Just imagine what this guy can do with a full season to recruit.

Update

This commit puts us at #51 Recruiting class in the country. 7th in the Big 12 (Now ahead of Oklahoma State). 8 spots nationally behind Texas Tech and West Virginia. It's doubtful we can close that gap, but we are close to having the 5th best class in the Big 12.
