JR Singleton is a stud. Not surprised to see him at that NG spot. I suspect both he and Lee will see a lot of action.

Yeah, those two will rotate the entire game and each guy might play about the same number of snaps IMO.

Things that surprised me a bit....

*Ramos as backup Center and not listed at Tackle at all.
*I thought Blake Peterson might show up in two deep at DE?
*Thought Malik Verdon would be in the two deep.
*Thought Grant Treiber would be in two deep.

There's only so much room, guys. Campbell said they were 12 deep at Oline. There's a ton of depth on the team and they can't list everyone.

LOL at putting TBD on the potential returners

I'd be SHOCKED is Milton is not the PR guy

KR may change until 1 guy solidifies that spot
I have a few thoughts:
- Milton at PR makes a ton of sense, I would also bet it is him.
- Where's Mason Chambers at on safety? (not listed) maybe he has an injury or something
- JR Singleton must be a badass, if he's even on Isiah Lee's level that's a huge boost for this defense
- I don't dislike Zach Peterson at DE on early downs but hope Suttle or someone else is in on 3rd and long.
- Our starting LBs are huge..
- Will McDonald at 245 lbs? Yes please. Best of luck to the UNI tackles on that one
- Datrone Young to me has earned his starting CB job back and played really good football late last season, good for him
- Remsburg is a very quality starting Tackle in the Big 12. Good to see him there starting. He's likely even better with a year off with Dave Andrews.
- Joe Scates starting at the 3rd receiver spot. This adds up for me. He clearly has more ability and game breaking potential than Shaw. That's not a knock on Shaw.
- Purchase and Freyler must be badasses for already being on the depth chart in 3-4 months of being in the program. Wow good for them. Defense's future looks bright.
- Looks like Jared Rus is the team battering ram again, good for him. Runs seemed to work when he was involved last year. (#28 also helps)

Can someone give us the Cliffnotes on Stevo Klotz? That's a name I don't remember hearing before

Don't know much about him but F is a spot you can recruit guys to walk on that normally go on to be D-2 studs. Seeing a clear path to scholarship helps get these kids.

Notice it says Scates OR Shaw OR Wilson.

Does that mean there’s no set starter yet of the three?

No Howard Brown yet? Thought he’d maybe crack the depth chart.

True freshmen on either OL/DL are typically pretty rare. I think he'll be a stud but I wouldn't worry at all about him not being there. I would've been pretty surprised to see him tbh

I figured Jackson would move outside with Noel taking his spot. He's 6'2 so it seems the natural move. Having the track guy Porter rotating in for X allows him to wear a corner down and get an occasional deep ball. So either way we're loaded.

So they list 2 DEs, a NG and a DT, when we typically line up in a 3 man front. Those 4 spots make sense on the occasion we show a 4 man front, so who has some insight on how we’ll use the guys listed at DT? I guess I could see Enyi playing DE along side Lee or Singleton if we’re more concerned about stopping the run in our 3 man front. So many possibilities.

Our Dline personnel is so much bigger, better and deeper than it was in the 80s and 90s that it defies belief. Honestly, throughout most of my 35 years of Cyclone football fandom I never thought we could recruit guys like that.

They also list 3 safeties so it's still multiple, and the DT could be the designated term in the pass rush 3 man front.
