Pierce transferred to Northwest Florida State College for a reason. I don’t think he would have been much help against Big XII competition. Kelderman was a much better option

He had a great offer list out of HS. I believe he had to go JUCO because of the timing of his departure. He had a solid freshman season at 12 ppg and 40+% from 3. Kelderman may have been better but we don’t know that for sure. Pierce was planned to be that backup PG we were missing.
