Per Bill Hodges:

# Class 2006 Super Prospect forward Dale Vanwright of Houston-Bellaire, Tex., is headed for UTEP</B> after being denied entrance at Colorado</B>.

Also of note per Bill Hodges:

# Forward Chad Millard of Goffstown, NH/Brewster Academy, is transfering from Louisville</B> to Creighton</B>. Also leaving the Cardinals is forward Brian Johnson of Suitland, Md/Oak Hill Academy, Va, who is considering George Washington and Florida State.

No replies?

No one has a comment about DV going elsewhere. He was a hot topic about 2-3 weeks ago and people were drooling over the possibility he might go to ISU. Now that he isn't, no one has anything to say about it? Wow.

I think the lack of response has something to do with most people feeling that while he may have been a talented prospect, he didn't really fill a need. We all like getting good talent but there are just some recruits that aren't as important as others, not because they're not as good, but because their game is different.

And 6-8 Chad Millard chased away a 6-11 player from Creighton to go to South Dakota, after he battled some injuries.

Vanwright would have been a nice get a couple weeks ago. But with Jiri's NCAA problems & ISU offering to give up a scholarship- I would have hoped ISU backed off this kid since we already have a couple WF in Clark/C. Johnson & WG in Taylor/Dunson.

Add to that the very realistic possibility that ISU will lose at least 1 other scholarship in the next year because of ISU's low APR score in hoops- I think G-Mac will have to be very tight with scholarships.

I guess it comes down to- do I want Stinnett or Vanwright at WG/WF? I'd like Stinnett.

I with you. I've said all along that my favorites are Stinnet, Garrett, and McFarland.
