Cy's Locker Room Ad

As a Iowa State men's basketball season basketball ticket holder, I'm genuinely excited for the remainder of the 2007-2008 season. This is the second year we've bought season tickets and am enjoying my experience immensely.

In the first half of play in each home game this year, there has been a commercial airing consistently for Cy's Locker Room. While the commercial servers it purpose by making fans aware of Cy's Locker Room, I believe that the commercial should be changed very soon. I'm beginning to see season ticket holders in my section cringe, much like me, at the sight and sound of the commercial and don't anticipate it getting much better as the year progresses.

I'm tempted to send an email/letter to the Iowa State Bookstore or Iowa State athletic department concerning it, but wanted to get some feedback from you guys before I did such a thing.

Does anyone feel the same way?

But really, I agree, the spot is brutal. Once games get more intense it's going to be a crowd killer.

It should never be played after the game starts. Maybe during halftime.

I remember sitting at the game and thinking "Is this the best they can do?" Had we been playing anyone else than Cemetary I would have been embarrassed.

Yes, it was horrid.

Started with some question like "What's your favorite Cy's Locker room item?" Then about 6 or 7 people talking about various items.

Needs to be about a 15 second spot just saying "go get your ISU stuff".

I always thought it'd be funny to have some students reenact the ad as it was playing.

But yeah, move the ad to halftime at least. It's kind of amusing, but as we get to the more critical games, it's a momentum killer.
