The Jazz are playing the Hornets and I checked the boxscore and Georges went 2-2 from 3 in his 1st half run (7 MIN), but with 1 TO and 2 PF. And then I saw that he was -12 - like 2 others in the bench crew - and read these tweets:

That bench unit has really come under a lot of criticism lately and I'd love for Niang to be part of the solution but that might not be the case at the moment.

Georges ended up with the following line in the Jazz' comeback win vs. Charlotte: 12 MIN, 3-3 FG, 3-3 3 PT, 2 REB, 1 TO, 3 PF and -10 (a gain on the -14 he had in the 1st half).

Programming notes: Abdel, Deonte and the Thunder take on Paul George and the Clippers and Monte and company take on LeBron LeLakers on Sunday. Both games are on NBA TV.

Burton and Nader both have gotten minutes so far in the 1st half for OKC vs. the Clippers. It's on NBA TV (hopefully you have it because I no longer do).

Nader throws down on the back door .. uuuhhhhnnnn

Cyclones denying shots and influencing people tonight (also, this is a G. Niang teammate heritage tweet):

Denver pouring it on against a Lebron-less Lakers may get THT some run in the 4th.

Lebron and Cousins being in street clothes and on the bench has put THT on the floor next to the photographers.

So TWO ex-Cyclones played in the Denver - Lakers game (but, as noted, no one named LeBron or DaMarcus). And Monte's Flint buddy K. Kuzma was limited in his minutes due to injury. Denver won big and the Lakers lost their 3rd straight. Monte's line: 20 MIN, 9 PTS, 4-10 FG, 1-4 3PT, 5 REB, 2 AST, 0 TO and +17. You don't usually expect him to have 3 more rebounds than assists.

Due to the lopsided score, Talen Horton-Tucker got his 2nd NBA appearance and played 3 minutes.

The Thunder ended up with an improbable come-from-behind win vs. the Clippers (K. Leonard didn't play). I was following it and it seemed that they couldn't quite close the gap (at one point in the 4th, Nader cut the lead from 7 to 4 with an and-one but the Clips scored right away again). Schroder and CP3 hit 3's down the stretch and they pulled it out.

Nader played a lot of minutes and it seems like Donovan trusts him. He ended with 16 MIN, 9 PTS, 4-7 FG, 0-3 3PT, 1-1 FT, 0 REB, 2 AST, 1 BLK (on M. Harrell of all people), 4 PF, 0 TO and -6.

I'm not exactly sure why Deonte Burton got the minutes that he did. I seemed like they struggled when he was in there and he missed every shot. But I think Donovan plays him against tough match-ups / very athletic guys sometimes. Gallinari, who usually starts, was out with an injury, as well. He ended with 12 MIN, 0-4 FG, 0-2 3PT, 2 BLK and -8.

With two games until the half-way point of the regular season, Nader's averaging 7.4 points (in 16 minutes), which is pretty decent, especially with the way he started the season.

THT was in for the final 3 minutes after the Lakers waived the white flag. Looked like they tried to get him the ball to score in the last few possessions. Unfortunately, he ended up with Torrey Craig (defensive specialist) on him. THT didn't force it though. His handles looked better than last year. He made the right play of getting into the lane then kicking it out t for his assist.

He also ended up with the ball with 7 seconds to go. He probably could have walked in for a garbage layup for his first NBA bucket, but decided against it.
