Meh, Provo is not what it's made out to be with all the negative stereotypes, etc.
I lived in Sandy for a few years, no thanks to Provo. Or Any place not right in the metro or in Park City.
Some of the stuff our interns would say and write on their Facebook, Yeesh.

The other side of the coin is the toxic counter culture you find in those parts. Utah is a weird blend of toxic cultures and countercultures and the reason I live in Texas. And FYI, I had a gay older brother (RIP) so I can completely understand where you are coming from.

Yes, it’s why we moved as well, along with some of the inversion type stuff. Couldn’t have brunch anywhere without a group of ex Mormons talking about how bad it was.
Anyways, visiting for a game is fine. The basketball atmosphere was great and so is the football. I just think with kids his age, I wouldn’t want to raise them in Provo.

If you’re into blondes it’s a good place…

I wouldn't want to raise a family here either and I grew up devout LDS in Texas (thank goodness), and ironically, served my mission in Ogden, Utah of all places, lol. I like living around a good mix of diverse peoples and beliefs and think raising a family around such diversity would be good for them overall.

I’m going with a friend who is a BYU grad originally from the Midwest, I think growing up out of state is the key!

BINGO! Will you be at the game? Would be cool to meet up during the game and shake hands in person! I'll be in section 125 a couple sections over from the Iowa State visitors section. FYI, they will hand out free BYU creamery ice cream to that visitors section (amazing ice cream btw). My name is Aaron by the way!

Was going to PM you my phone # but it won't let me send you a PM due to the settings? Either way, I'll stop by at some point and say hi.
