I've never seen Misery but understand your point. I can justify Bill Lumbergh as being more real. Tons of people can relate to him as a villain because they've had a Bill Lumbergh in their life. Annie Wilkes is infinitely more evil, but very few people can relate to that kind of villain. I think that makes Bill a huge cinderella.

That plus I think his performance is incredible.

Its just a Movie Villain tournament. Not Most Evil Movie villain or best performance as a movie villain or most attractive movie villain. That gives a lot of leeway into how people vote. I love it.

Both Annie from Misery and Lumbergh would both be in top 5 in terms of realistic real world villains.

She’s basically Mark David Chapman but with kidnapping. Everybody knows 2-3 Lumberghs.

If Goodman was Tony Perkis from heavyweights it would have tipped it for me. Everybody should watch heavyweights if they find White Goodman funny.

I'm glad Lumbergh is in the bracket, but I think I'll, uh, go ahead and vote for Annie Wilkes in that matchup.

To me, he's more of "systemic villain," Annie seems more sinister.

(Usually I don't reveal my choices during voting period, I don't want to interject & sway anything.)

That's was honestly one of my most difficult to choose as well.

I always forget about her as that scene feels weirdly out of place in overall "realism" of the movie, but Tracy Ulman's spoof of that character in Men in Tights is comedy gold.

Tough 15 seed matchup for Voldemort. Calvin was a great villain

The Rickman v Rickman matchup is a shame. His Sheriff of Nottingham performance is super underrated. I still quote some of his lines from that movie to this day. Unfortunately, it's up against his even more iconic villain.

Sheriff of Nottingham got way too low of a seed. Rickman totally nailed that role. Think I'll watch that movie tonight.
