I'm good, I should become a profiler:jimlad:

On second note, 1992 and he is 17, I can't believe that there are now people in college that don't remember the Berlin wall coming down, or desert storm. Good grief, this guy was 9 when 9/11 happened, I'm feel old and I'm not even 30.

These are both actually very good questions.

All of this would be a swell idea if the original poster:

a) wasn't apparently trying to just stir up crap; and
b) was anyhow related to the direction of the site.

Just for clarification, I said I should become a profiler because I accurately guessed his age and then I went off on a "poor me I feel old" rant. Not sure how what I said relates to your post.

All ideas must adapt if they wish to survive. Look at the traffic ratings for Cyclone Fanatic. It is nothing spectacular, and will not be sustained forever.

LUCKILY for you guys, you have one of the better moderators in the Internet managing your site, considering the low audience he deals with.

What is funny, is that since we're a forum, you are never going to see great comparisons between us and another site as far as stats. Typical stats programs and sites are not built to handle the dynamic links that makeup a forum & the way the site is built makes it almost invisible to most standards stats. Luckily, I use a couple different programs and services that are specialized for such the case.

As far as a business model goes - there is a business model & plan but it's nowhere near a corporate type structure. And quite frankly, it wouldn't work as a corporate model.

What makes CF great is that it's owned, operated, moderated as a free-spirited community w/o the BS that comes with a corporate umbrella. If we want to do something or make a change, we do it. If we want a site w/ very few ads and no pop-ups, we can have it. If we want to remain intimate instead of grow to the size of ESPN, we can do so.

So even though I have an investor and I work with many other individuals to keep the site running well - nothing else will be in the works from a business perspective.

Thanks,

Jeremy Lind

As a corporation you could deduct expenses for the annual shareholders meeting. Of course, the shareholders meeting would be held in Jamaica.
