Cy-Hawk spread opens at 13.5

Seems a little high to me but could be due to overconfident Hawkeye fans (or the misleading #16 ranking) which is why i think the spread is always 3-7 pts off for this game.

i saw some LV books are +13/13.5, but a lot havent set a line yet. What if i bet it on the +13, would it matter if the line moved or am I locked in at 13?

Your bet would be locked in, the line moves when there is a lot of betting one way. But you're will remain the same.

If Tate feels punky or Manson has to play a lot, Iowa may score only about 21 points in the game during the rain. Looks like a good bet for the Cyclones fans in all cases.

Collegefootballnews is IMO the least reliable source out there. It could be a great site if they had some knowledgeable people running it. For example, they picked the Hawkeyes 11-1 and CU 8-4. The -3.5 is a typo or just another example of the sites' incoherence.

The spread opened at 8.5 and jumped to 13.5 either on ALOT of action on Iowa or positive reports on Tate or both.

if you have access to a bookie, i would lock this line in now as it is likely to go down throughout the week. My personal opinion is that it should be ~10pts.
