Anyone here browse this site frequently? It's free and I sold my car on it and have bought a couple things off it but I'm always finding deals that are very tempting to buy and try to turn around and sell on ebay or somewhere for more.

I love reading the "best of" ones too where you find random rants like this one: best of craigslist : RANT: Why I Hate Port a Potties

That was a great rant.

I actually use the website quite frequently here in LA. It's great for housing and other things. That's how most people find work who are trying to break into the film industry searching under this los angeles tv/film/video/radio jobs classifieds - craigslist

We found our apartment here in StL on Craigslist. It was an amazing find: cheap (for StL), great location, and ridiculously nice for what we're paying. I have friends who are paying $200-300 more for waaay less.

Oh yeah, and that rant is priceless.

Wow, people on there are morons, someone is trying to sell a DirecTV HD receiver that is not compatibile with the new channels for $100. DTV will sell you a new one for $100 that works with all the new channels.

I've got some misc. stuff in my basement I need to get rid of that one of these days I'm gonna post on there. I had to post my car I think 3 times before I got some legit inquiries. Found that the best thing to do is post during peak use times so that your post is seen before it gets bumped down on the list.

No one said that everyone on there knows what they are doing. But the best deal I found was a used garden tiller for $70 this spring and that was in response to a wanted ad I posted. You can't find good used tillers easily and new ones are too expensive to justify buying. I've seen some really good deals on used PCs and laptops I almost bought with the intent of just turning around and selling them for more because they were priced so low.
