Listening today, another slam on ISU, ready to get rid of all bowls, especially the Pop Tart bowl. Only need to have the SEC and BIG teams in the playoffs, they are the ones deserving of playing. Also all NFL quarterbacks should be 6’2” or taller.

Here are the quarterbacks we would lose in that scenario. Wonder who would win the super bowl last year.

At just 5'10", the Carolina Panthers' Bryce Young and the Arizona Cardinals' Kyler Murray rank as the shortest quarterbacks in the National Football League, currently.
But shorter quarterbacks are certainly not uncommon. Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson runs at just 5'11", and while no current starters are 6' even, there are several who are 6'1". These include San Francisco 49ers star Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts in Philadelphia, Baker Mayfield in Tampa Bay, Gardner Minshew in Las Vegas, Chicago Bears rookie Caleb Williams, and Miami Dolphins star Tua Tagovailoa.

There are better shows out there so I don’t know why people still listen to someone that just says **** to get people riled up. In fact, just drop live radio all together and move to podcasts. The fewer commercial breaks that you can fast forward through really make traditional radio broadcasts obsolete.

I swear like 15 years ago he was decent to listen to on my morning commute.

Then he just kind of evolved into trolling and only ups the intensity of hot takes.

Him and the odd couple are the same type of idiots who just stir crap up and have stupid takes.

Why listen? He's a shock jock who doesn't mean/care about half of what he says, it's all about traffic to generate revenue.

He's right that bowl games are stupid and pointless. The good players sit out, the result doesn't matter. What's the point?
Excuse for fans to take a winter vacation, extra practice for returning players, opportunity to play teams (even if not 100% rostered) you don't normally play, etc.. Sure, the results aren't significant but neither is our game at Arkansas State this year, why even play it?

Our starters will all play against Arkansas State though so that already makes it more significant

This mentality is mind boggling to me. I've said it a lot of times on here. There are a lot and I mean a lot shittier things on TV than any bowl game. No one is clamoring for those to go away. If sponsors want their name on a bowl game, it's going to happen. The sponsors pay for it, it's not coming out of your taxes.

Players get a lot more practice time for next year. Coaches and players get to match up against a team they haven't probably played recently, if at all. It's actually really good practice for coaches to gameplan for a team and coach they are not familiar with. And fans get a good excuse to take a winter vacation or see their team play one more time on TV. If you don't like it, change the channel, stream a movie or show you like.

My wife loves NCIS and The British Baking Show. I can't stand them. I don't go out of my way to try and get them canceled or even say they should be canceled. I just don't watch them.
