It’s really embarassing for our society that 130 people a day are dying from opioid overdoses while we punish people for using cannabis. So incredibly stupid.

And cigarettes are legal.

The NFL is ruining peoples careers for smoking weed. Which is legal in some states, makes no sense.

The issue really isn't weed. The bigger issue is whether David Irving can put some minor activity aside for awhile to be part of something bigger. Weed isn't the only issue he is dealing with. He apparently can't, so he will forego making millions of dollars so that he can continue to smoke weed and do the other things that have gotten him in trouble. He was blessed with skills that afford him the opportunity to make more money over a relatively short period of time than most people can make in a lifetime, and it seems that he will not pursue that opportunity. We'll see how that works out for him.

So is the US DOT.

If your employer doesn't want you smoking weed, either

1. don't
2. find a new profession

David Irving is ruining David Irving's career, not the NFL. If one of our CDL drivers fails a drug test it isn't our company ruining his career...it's the idiot smoking the weed.
