Testifying
There has to be more to the story, like he was coming close to a person, etc. I will wait till the investigation is done before passing judgment.

Word from a friend in the store:

The guy had been to Afghanastan and was a bit different to begin with but they never thought anything would come of it. Not sure if that has relevence to the story or not.

Anyway, he came in, cut up his hands and rubbed his hands all over the meat in the meat section.

When the cops came, he was waving the knife at them. They tasered him and he charged them and then they shot him.

Again, this is from a friend who was there, not sure how much is exagerrated or not.

Pretty scary incident.

Seriously, how often do you see one of those anyway? Everybody at ours look like you kicked their dog.

I worked at Hy-Vee 4 years during High School. Every 3rd person that came down the isle would come up to you in their sarcasticly funny voice "well where's the helpful smile in this isle!?!?" Stuff got old so fast, I ran out of fake smiles quickly.

The year after college I worked at the east side(east euclid) Hy-Vee in DM and I can tell you there were multiple times I was lucky I didn't have a gun. We ended up having a full time DM police officer in the store. This was right when meth was taking off and you had to deal with some CRAZY people that were nearly unstoppable. A lot of these guys weighed about 120 but you could hit them in the face with a pole and they would pop right back up. Yes, I hit someone in the face with a pole ....

and no I didn't have a smile on my face.

Latest rumor coming out of Boone, he was also saying that he had Aids after cutting his hands and smearing them on the meat.

LOL. I worked 5 years in a competing store, I understand. Customer service blows.

If 40 hours a week in a Hy-Vee trying to be nice to the general public doesn't drive you to want to cut someone, then something is wrong with you!

Seriously, 7 years at the Vee for me and it all but destroyed my faith in humanity in general.

Aids dies off instantly when it comes in contact with oxygen, he could have poured buckets of his own Aids infested blood on that meat and it wouldn't have done anything but make a nice porterhouse a little soggy. Which strangely enough, is grounds for deadly force in my book.

Would this half price the meat?

Funny thing about Hy-Vee is that you end up being so fake and friendly that it takes a couple of hours to "un hy-vee" yourself. I would catch myself walking down the street saying hi to everyone.

He was believed to be HIV positive ( he was announcing it to people waving the HUGE knife around and cutting himself) He did charge a manager there ,from employees talking . They tried to taize him and it didnt work he charged them and they shot . This is from a friend who was there and an employee that was there . Not sure why they havent released his name so I will not either.
