WSU emphasizes defense too much for it to be a perfect fit. IMO Creighton would be a better fit.

There were internet rumors of Frankamp transferring to Creighton as early as last spring. They are certainly a legit candidate. Wouldn't wind that so I could run over and see him play a few times.

I watched all the ku games at the end of the year and this statement is so wrong. To play like he did as a true freshman who you are right is undersiezed, was very impressive. There were a couple of games were he looked far more solid than half the team. Undersized kids probably have the biggest growth as players because they have to get used to plaing with the big boddies. With what he showed as a true freshman, good things are in store for him

I watched all the KU games through the entire season and the statement is not wrong. As for those two tourney games you watched, Conner had two "nice" games from the offensive end. Against EKU, he got to play against other players his size and athletic ability level and was finally able to get around a few guys and get a few layups (missed both 3 pointers). As for that "great" Stanford game where he scored a season high 12 points? Thought it would be useful to point out his plus/minus in the game was -7, +4 of which was in the last :32 after he hit a deep three in mad scramble for a late comeback time. In other words, he was -11 in the first 39:28 of that game where he was "far more solid". Gotta play both ends of the floor, Conner.

Bill Self just looks slimy, and he's scared as **** of Fred Hoiberg, because soon very soon his team will be finishing below Iowa State.

I'm sure there are plenty of Big 12 coaches that Self respects but highly doubt there are any that "scare" him. If there was such a coach, it would probably be a more defensively minded coach than Hoiberg. To finish ahead of Self and KU, a team is going to need to consistently win on the road. Defense travels better than offense.

I doubt he's scared of Fred. He respects him as a coach but let's not get carried away. Your statement sounds silly (to me), frankly.

Sounds like someone has a personal vendetta against a long-standing winning coach. I doubt someone who's had 10 straight conference titles is "scared."

Bro, do you even work?? 2000 posts since August?? Sounds like you have too much time on your hands to build up hate for people.

I don't think Self is afraid of anyone, if fact I bet he is a bit invigorated at the challenge of competing against good programs and up and coming coaches.

Yep. The more good teams you face in conference play, the better. Better prep for the tourney. Better rep for the conference (AKA bigger pay day for TV). Easier to recruit when more games are against good teams. Etc... All of these coaches are confident professionals and competitors. To think any of them are "scared" of another coach in their league is just silly fan chest thumping.

This is a big loss for KU, not only for this year but for the next two.
He was set for a big increase in minutes this year as Self has indicated and according to reports he has been their best shooter in practices and they really don't have many good outside shooters as Self loves Slashing PGs.
Their best shooters are now Greene and Sviatoslav but who knows how much the latter will actually play. In additon it takes away an option at point and leaves a true freshman and Mason and Mason is prone to TOs and forcing shots.

I think his has a lot to do with Frankamps dad. He seems to be way too involved. Also the fit isn't great as Self is very stubborn about his positions and how he uses them. He would fit better in an offense like Fred's. I can definitely see him going to Creighton.

Meh. KU can get another recruit in the door that can give us what Frankamp would provide. Frankamp was always a good shooter in practice but wasn't able to transfer it over to game day. Plus, it opens the door for KU to have enough room for a Carlton Bragg/Jaylen Brown/Brandon Ingram package deal.

I predict that this is the year KU doesn't win the Big 12 regular season.

Not enough outside shooting and missing the length they usually have down low and PG is still an issue.

Yep. Any loss on the court this year is minimal in comparison to the benefit of the opening of the scholarship.

KU should shoot a better 3pt fg% than last year and should have more blocked shots this year (Alexander/Traylor/Mickelson/Ellis/Lucas) than last year (Embiid/Black/Traylor/Ellis/Lucas) and this year's PG combo (Graham/soph Mason/soph Selden) should be more consistent than last year's (Tharpe/freshman Mason/freshman Frankamp).

Selden is going to play some PG?

Rarely but it will happen a few times where he is out there without Mason or Graham, depending on match ups. KU could roll our 6'5" Selden, 6'7 Mykailiuk/Greene, 6'7" Oubre, 6'8" Alexander/Ellis and 6'10" Mickelson and be a pretty big load for any team to deal with for a few minutes.
