I am not feeling very good right now, even though we are 2-0. Our defense looked much better in first half than last week, but couldn't get off the field in the second. Our offense has been far from dazzling both weeks and it is a good thing that we haven't been playing shootouts b/c we aren't doing much shooting.

By the way Toledo may not be as good as we hoped. They go drilled by Western Michigan (who lost to Indianna handily last week) 31 to 10.

I haven't lost hope that we will put it together but to paraphrase a Mac statement....we are going to have to be the most improved team in America between weeks 2 & 3. .....rinse repeat

Don't get me wrong I have been on the Mac bandwagon since the beginning and I remain on board. We don't look like a very good team right now offensively, defensively or special teams. We have a long way to go. I still believe the talent is there, but the next month the coaching staff will earn their pay as we have a lot of things to get fixed and very little time to get it done.

Our defense look ALOT better yesterday, and I dont really think our offence looks that bad, they are just not calling the plays they should be! Next saturday is going to be a game where we pass alot!

still a lot of blow coverages and poor tackling yesterday. We ran the ball ok, but passing game let a lot to be desired. Meyer had worst day throwing (from accuracy perspective) I have seen from him in a long time. I don't think we will see that repeated. Special teams are very inconsistent and unless we dramatically change kick off coverage we will have one or more run back for a td in the next two weeks

Speaking of the who-got-beat-by-who...... I'm sure most of you saw that Montana State, the "giant killers" that went into Folsom and beat CU last week, lost to Division II Chadron State.... yikes.

My confidence is fading...and is almost gone...in the people who shoot off the cannon! :no6xn: Two premature shoot-offs on 1 drive is just unacceptable...Coach Mac should be fired for these guys' actions.

If I read the above correctly, let's fire the newbies for the cannon and drum majors for the band and outsource to some experienced alumnis. Well I say keep them on but the UNI game is their last chance to get their parts right for the Real Season.
