Thats Shontrelle Johnson to JJ Moses. Obviously they play different positions, but they have a lot of similarities. SJ is certainly our most elusive player on offense, and by his JR or SR year he could be as exciting of a player that we've had since JJ.

Shontrelle is bigger, 5'9" 187... JJ was 5'6" 170

I don't remember how good JJ was when he was a true freshman, but SJ will be our feature back as a True-sophomore. Both are highlight reel type players!

Shontrelle Johnson...2010
Rushed 35 times for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns … rushed 12 times for 103 yards (both career highs) against Texas Tech, including a 61-yard TD dash ... averaged 23.4 yards on 25 kickoff returns ... had a 62-yard kickoff return against Iowa ... had just three carries vs. Kansas, but one was a 33-yard TD dash.

I actually feel that Lampkin or West will be a much better comparison to JJ but to play along, I don't think SJ has the top end JJ did but I think he may be better as far as vision an instinct in terms of every down. I know that JJ had some of the most impressive "speed" plays in our history but they are different players entirely. I actually don't see Shontrelle returning as much in the long run, especially if he is as effective as we would like him to be at RB.

Anyone know where JJ is and what he's doing now. Remember when the players came out of the locker room after the game and JJ was the coolest dude in the group!

Honestly, I think we should take him off returning duty as soon as possible, but there needs to be capable bodies back there still. Lampkin seems like an obvious choice, but we might be better off redshirting him. With this coaching staff's emphasis on special teams, I'm sure they'll figure out the best way to go about this.
