This thing will only hover about 10 feet off the ground. You could save $50,000 and just buy a bunch of ballons with helium and do better then that :)

If I were a millionaire I would buy it. Someday it could be worth more out of rarity.

Does anyone else find it odd that they don't show any pictures of it actually flying?

Nope, cuz it doesn't take an aeronautical enginner to figure out that it won't really fly, but basically only hover in place. I would be surprised if it does that.

From the lengthy item description:

First I want to make it clear that it is possible to lift off and get off the ground. The balance of the flight is what made the first two ships lose control.

Purely a dog and pony show for the bean counters,it worked...the show that is!! In all it's development, this craft has never been more than 10 feet off the ground and ALL the flight tests were crash failures. They had overcome many issues but could not get away from power/rate/control issues.Years of testing..never a safe mode flight.

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!

The commuter aircraft has sold for the paltry sum of $131,700.00. Unfortunately, my bid fell a mere $131, 200.00 short of acquiring this sweet ride. Tailgating will remain a ground-based event.
