Is there a reason ISU rarely seems to make hard-and-fast adjustments such as "no help defense away from [NAME]" and "don't watch ball, just block out [NAME]"? The way this game was going in the second half many coaches would instruct their players to shadow Spangler and Hield and make the other three guys beat you

I was wondering why we weren't gluing our defenders to these guys, especially when they were letting anything go on loose ball rebounds.

That said, if it takes Hield and Spangler going off to beat you on their home court in a poor shooting game, I'd say we are in a good place.

Our coaches are prob best in the nation at in game and half time adjustments. They also pick when to play through times. We simply got beat but I think the thought was our guys would eventually figure out how to beat them to the ball.

Losses happen. Losing one game doesn't make your coaching staff "unable to adjust". You could easily look at any reasonably close loss and play the could-a-would-a-should-a game.

If anything, our problem is concentration to start the game, and not get behind. That has been the theme pretty much all season.

How could we just concentrate on Hield and Spangler? Cameron Clark went for 32 vs. KU and Woodard is lightning quick, and Neal also a good shooter.

As said before, their team has multiple threats like we do.
