I was at a table the complete opposite side that Nate Carr was.
Me too. There was a guy at our table that it took me a bit to place...
Tom Coates...the guy that has the consumer credit business and has used his dad, kids, and grandkids (who ALL look like him) in his commercials.

I was trying to figure out who the guy with the Raiders hat was. He looked in shape/maybe former player.

I was in Austin Texas last week (wearing ISU shirt). Had a few people come up to me to discuss Big 12 stuff. Just about everyone I talked to (OU, OSU, TX fans) all said they think Matt is a good coach and ISU did a good job hiring him. They respect ISU now.

IIRC when Pollard asked to see Campbell one of the things that was different is that he asked for Matt's wife to come and be apart of their meeting.

That was something completely different and how often to do you hear of a spouse being asked to join in any kind of meetings, especially initial meetings? We are fortunate to have Pollard as AD. Sure he has had some misses on coaches but what AD hasn't? Also think of the massive amount of facility updates, refreshes or completely new buildings all done the last 17 years under his watch. It's been transformative. Like he's said before, facilities first and then the right coach to take programs further. Far more likely to keep a coach or program at a higher level when facilities are already in place vs trying to build them after initial success.

I recorded CMC tell his Toledo to ISU story today at an event. Click the link and hit play, I promise it's no Rick Roll.

Honestly, I had to look Rick Roll up!! LOL

I liked that song! Kid was only about 21 in 1987, Rick Astley. I wouldn't mind having that voice at 21! At any age!!

I now people are asking for it now! Always happy to oblige! Lyrics version. The official video is a bit corny, true.

Btw, thx for the CMC clip. Can't here that story too many times.
