The $.04/share cent stock is worthless. They plan to sell over the internet the leftovers and takebacks.

Nope, they still have 567 stores open.

Some private equity firms plus Blockbuster had expressed interest in purchasing Circuit City but the deal fell through when they couldn't get the financing arranged.

This will eventually be the fate of GM. It may take 10 years, but no company with a balance sheet as bad as GM's can survive long-term.

I'd really hate to see how many of our tax dollars it would take to keep GM afloat for 10 more years. We dropped $17 billion so they could make it 3 more months.

As far as Circuit City, are there any stores in Iowa?

Maybe there should be a class action suit by taxpayers against some of the parties responsible and on the receiving end of the bailout, especially the one for automakers to recoup some of the money that the government so carelessly threw away.
