I didnt eithe r til I saw that little blurb. You would think they wouldve thought that they people would make more mention of it when trying to hype him.
Seems to me there wasn't much effort to defend the offer to Christopherson, just some questions as why now? and why another sg?
A lot of facts left out, including Wisc. Mr. Basketball, where there is some pretty good Bball played. That senior class also included Diante Garrett, and Keton Nankivil. He was recruited to Marquette which was in the top 25 all year. The reason they were in the top 25 is because they had one of the best (top 5) guard courts in the country. So if SC doesn't crack the starting lineup in that competition, he isn't worth a scholly to ISU?
Consider this: What will Boozer do when faced with the prospect of playing behind Staiger, Eikmeier, and Christopherson , with Buckley and Garrett established at pg?
EDIT: OK, it seems this post is just a rehash of what has already been said. I didn't read the bulk of this thread before now, because quite frankly, I'm getting sick of a lot of experts proving that they don't know what they are talking about. If SC is as bad as as one Marquette Expert says, why did the coach that just went to one of the most prestigious schools in the country recruit him?

2 things...

Neither of the Marquette posts said this kid was a "bad" player. Just that he was not good enough to be a major contributor at Marquette in the Big East.

A better question is why, with this kid transferring, did Crean not try to get him to come with him to Indiana? The answer is simple...if you can't play a role at Marquette then you certainly can't play a role at Indiana.

I think we all need to just hush and wait and see how he turns out. The kid hurt his knee and that's going to impact the way he was able to play this past year.

By all account he's a good smart kid with a positive attitude. He got Mr. Wisconsin for a reason and I think he's a good addtition if nothing else to improve the teams GPA and tenure of players.

I highly doubt Marquette would have released him to Indiana. In fact I'd put the likelihood of at at 0%. Crean would have known this.
