Chris Hassel issued an apology on WHO-TV 13's News at 10 today for rubbing Cyclone Fans the wrong way.

Any fan of ISU knows we get kicked in the balls on a regular basis, if you cant take a joke like what they did last night, you need help.

What did he do?

Not that I care all that much. WHO13 is about 1 step away from Inside Edition IMO, anyway.

Mr. Hassel, I saw nothing wrong with what you did, in fact my wife and I were laughing.

Thanks for bringing back some memories, with highlights no less.

I think the apology may have been forced on him by John Bachman and Erin Kiernan, did you see their faces after that aired last night? They were in shock and were in stunned silence.

I have a feeling that it came unexpected by Cyclone fans not aware of what has been talked about on Cyclone Fanatic or the Murph and Andy show this past week. For some it may have came up from behind unexpectedly, thus, hurting twice as bad..

Yeah...no apology necessary. I was laughing, and it was fun, yet depressing, to see some of those highlights again!

You're right, Ern Kiernan looked like she'd just been donkey ******* after it aired. She was quite surprised.

Hassel, we've got your back. I know you can't talk about how the suits forced you into apologizing, but we all know that's what happened.

I'm guessing the problem really was the "getting kicked in the nuts" part and not the making light of the cyclone misfortunes.

He didn't do a Hawkeye piece tonight? I'm guessing he was planning to and they pulled it after some negative feedback. Because he couldn't do a Hawkeye piece he found it necessary (by compulsion) to apologize to cyclone fans.

He is doing that Thursday, before the Lolo Jones segment.

Oh the power of CF!

Hassel was right on with his segment. I'm just glad another sports personality gets their info from CF.
