Upset-wise, your MAAC choice of Iona jumps out — I realized I didn't pick any upset below a 3-slot Many years, a 4-5-6 in a balanced league gets the Auto).

Your picks in the other tourneys I didn't include are convincing, too.

Among those, A-10, Big Ten, Pac-12 and MWC appear to have the most chaos potential among the top-rung teams to win their tourney — most of those teams would be in regardless.

I'd be surprised if an at-large afterthought comes out of left field in the top 6-8 leagues to land the automatic. If it does happen, I'd guess A-10 or SEC (if Florida got bounced early). Least likely: ACC and Big 12.

Favorite: Robert Morris
Pick: Robert Morris

Patriot (March 6, 9, 13 -- Campus sites of higher seeds)

I hadn't realized Texas Southern was ineligible (or knew about, then forgot). (Glad I didn't pick them )

In related news, I choose UConn get the Big East auto bid. :pwink:

I don't see Michigan State winning the Big 10. I could even see them getting knocked off by Iowa in the 2nd round. I think Indiana will end up winning the Big 10.

Only one game separates Kent and Ohio, and Bobcats swept season series. Both games were close, so to me it's a coin flip anyway.

The "tough to beat a team 3 times" will come to mind, but I don't subscribe to that.

Akron you mean? Kent is 8-7. And Ohio is only 1 game back because Akron sat a bunch of players and lost.

Akron is far and away the best team in that league and could honestly do some damage in the ncaa

I'm putting the picks on my bracketology if you don't mind. Friendly competition to see who gets the most right.

I picked Iona because usually a lower seeded team pulls a couple upsets and ends up in the dance. Last year was W Kentucky, who barely had a winning record I believe and was the 7 or 8 seed in the sun belt.

DC, if you want, just pick some teams for fun and I'll have you entered. Same goes for anyone else. To make it fair, teams gotta be picked by end of Thursday/when their conference starts for power conference teams.

I'll rep the winner.

Here are the other nine auto-bid guesses I didn't include on my first list. (I may make another list when seedings are final -- that would be separate from this, which can count as my "official" entry):

A-10: Butler
ACC: Duke
Big East: Syracuse
Big 12: Kansas
Big 10: Ohio State
Ivy: Harvard
MWC: UNLV
Pac-12: California
SEC: Florida
