Awesome work, and thank you to the moon @carvers4math !!! You are single-handledly keeping things going. Our family loves you.
Hey an old lady empty nester has to be good for something!

This has to be so hard on your kiddos. My mom lived with us her last year before the breast cancer took her and my then ten year old worked so hard at helping her. He even got her the right snack when her blood sugar dropped while I was taking the baby to the doctor. Hopefully any funds raised can make all of your lives a bit easier.

A little momentum this morning. I am guessing the email from GoFundMe with your update reminds people who have already given generously to spread the word a bit.

Some more generosity today inches us along! Thanks so much!

While they say we are at 30%, a stickler for math might say we are $100 short.

I think we're reaching the limits so I'm trying to setup an online silent auction. While it will like skew heavy towards ISU related items, any offerings for the auction would be greatly appreciated. More to come, just trying to figure it all out with my limited brain power.

So today’s Jeopardy winner got $23,600. He has Parkinson’s and played in a chair. So maybe we need to start your Jeopardy training, @Jer? He shouldn’t have bet as much as he did on Final, he had a lot more money he blew when he didn’t know the flag of Liberia. That’s about the only thing I knew, other than a banned Judy Blume book :p

I think a this point I'll let this thread die. We are absolutely indebted to y'all, the outpouring of support has been truly remarkable.

As I alluded to yesterday, somebody close is starting to get the foundation laid for an online silent auction, likely to take place in May. I hope to be able to get enough contributions that it has something for everyone - obviously heavy on ISU.

Because my connections collapsed when everything else did, I will start a new thread to see if anybody can provide a contact or resource at any local businesses.

It's going to kill me, but I can't ask for help if I'm not ready to part with everything I can to help the cause. I plan on tossing my Brock Purdy signed Super Bowl helmet (w/COA) and large, signed wall picture (w/COA) into the mix.

OK, I'm having a full on panic attack.

My Neurologist is leaving the UnityPoint practice on July 1 and they do not have a replacement. I don't like him, but that means starting over. That means I'll have to not only switch providers, but also to a new medical network in Mercy One.

The panic - I'm on STD until the end of July when I switch to LTD. In July is when they plan on doing the LTD claim process and review. I will have lost my current Neurologist and practice by then AND possibly won't have had a chance to get in with my new one yet. Leaving a big gap in the LTD claim and Dr attestations, etc. I'm guessing a new Dr isn't going to approve or sign off on anything until they've seen me. And my then former Neurologist won't be there to attest or process anything.

Hey Jer,

My father has been dealing with Parkinson’s for some time now. His neurologist is Lynn Struck. She’s nationally renown for her work with Parkinson’s patients.

Merely making a suggestion based on experience. She has helped him with his tremors and timing his meds to allow him to continue to play music.

Hope this helps. I apologize if I am out of line.

I greatly appreciate that, I love referrals in this situation.

FYI, I'm going to move this topic over to the Mental Health thread where this makes much more sense as the freakout isn't tied to this in any way.

So, referrals..

one of my closest friends from ISU referred her to me after she treated his father for Parkinson’s. I figure we are just keeping the referral chain going.

She has helled him a lot. Problem is I thought I knew stubborn, but my father has made it an art form.
She’s really good
