If the roster limit of 30 stands for next year, I don’t see us adding anyone. We have to cut 13 wrestlers, I think

Could they have a practice squad? Women's basketball has a team of guys that are there squad to practice against. Can the team have a practice squad and call them up if they leave a spot open on the roster?

Would they be able to stash the deep depth guys on the crtc or even the club team. They just wouldn't be able to wrestle attached.

Just the thought of this grinds my gears. 80% of these guys wrestle on their own dime (yes I know NIL NIL). Doesn’t seem right.

(Not yelling at you just quoting your post).

When I talked with Dresser, he mentioned that offering some guys (most likely walkons) to be under the CRTC, but didn't think many higher level guys would go for that

so if the roster cap is 30
then what becomes of the higher-level guys not interested in CRTC , they stop wrestling, they transfer?

That sucks for the sport, and I doubt Campbell is the last to reduce the amount of scholarships available for these young men looking to compete in D1 wrestling

they said that scholarship athletes will not be able to compete (and so in effect going from 9 to zero ?

The Ohio State University recently announced that scholarships for men's gymnastics will be eliminated. You will see more of this in other Olympic sports too I predict.
If I remember correctly ISU mens gymnastics had been pretty good not to long before getting shut down in the early-middle 80s

Listened to the coaches show Tues nite Jamie was on the 1st half, he talked about the $22 million salary rule just a bit the way I understood it he is going to try to divvy it up between all 400 athletes at ISU?
Did I misunderstand is this what all schools are doing?
My thought process is your sport runs in the red already shouldn't scholarships and NIL opportunities be enough?
I commend the wrestling fans for taking this issue by the horns and being proactive on these issues.
