I guess I would have chosen TJ obviously but I understand Drew. He lost four starters from a national title team and had injuries and still won the best toughest league in the country. Not sure why some are shocked.

I don’t get anyone saying the Tech coach should have won. He did fine but those were all Beard players and he knows the program already.

We basically have two returnees that you can build around. (If IB returns) Hope TJ an find the mojo in the portal again.

So isu had two players on all 1st, 2nd, 3rd and HM teams - is that the lowest number of players in the conference?

Nice to see them both recognized. I still think TJ should have been the coach of the year.

Overall record wise yeah but in conference...I don't know. Likely needed like a 3rd place finish or something.

Was it all Beard's players? I've heard he only had 1 or 2 of Beard's players.

Honestly doesn't matter. I don't think he did a better job than Drew. He was an assistant there and knows the program in and out. Drew reloading, coupled with injuries and still winning the league is impressive. And I say that not really liking Drew at all.

Yeah. It would have made sense. But we were 7-11 and the 6th seed.

Agree.

I understand the urge the homer-urge to give it to Otz, but the award tends to focus on in-conference performance ... and let's admit it, any halfway competent coach could improve on 0-18.

How is Scott Drew coach of the year? Wouldn’t have even been in my top 3!!

Hunter snubbed too - how is he not at least honorable mention?
Yeah weird pick. Probably has the most talented team in the conference.
