We are already looking stacked for 2016. Steve... I think I love you.

"stacked" ? ......not seeing/hearing it. Young, Carter, Ernst, Malou ... all front court inexperienced, unproven and.... no 4-stars to my knowledge. (unless Malou is touted this). I don't think some fans truly understand how much Niang, McKay, and Nader compare to these newbies. Hoping for 1 more big piece and an impact transfer next summer. But we all have our own opinions based on what we're hearing, and rightly so.

Young could be a 4**** again before it's all said and done and he gets here.

Agreed. We still have a lot of work to do on the recruiting trail if we wanna be anywhere close to the talent of this years team.

Niang>Malou
McKay>Young
Nader>Babb
Naz>Jackson

With Romello White, Arlando and Tyler Cook now out, and most sensing Curry to home-state Arkansas, not sure we have anywhere to go now except hope for transfers this next spring for front court.

Talk about a quiet front on him... not sure who's recruiting him, etc. Or if he'll develop.

We're one of 6 schools listed for him and considered warm on him by 247. TJ isn't going to let him slip off the grid if he's good enough. There's a long time to go and the late Carter get kind of trimmed some of the urgency for our entire class. We're in a better position in terms of recruiting and having things lined up than we have been for a long time.

Everyone realizes that Niang, McKay, Nader, and Naz were not 4 stars either, right?

Everyone always acts like our roster last year was full of 4 and 5 star guys, but it wasn't.

Niang and McKay were both 4 stars.

Niang was a 4-star and McKay was the top JUCO recruit in the country or at least close. Don't remember exactly.

I stand corrected. But we still didn't have to beat hardly any good schools to get them.

Unless you consider beating Iowa for both of them much competition?

We beat about everyone to get McKay when he left Marquette and Georges blew up shortly after he committed to us. A lot of other schools reached out to him but he stuck to his commitment

Wasn't McKay pretty highly recruited both times around?

3 of our starters were 4 stars. (Niang, Morris, McKay). We had two 4 stars on the bench and in the rotation. (Thomas and BDJ). Only players who played that weren't 4 stars were Long, Nader and Hogue. So 5-8 were.

There's still time to find 1-2 impact players via transfer/LOI release.

We would be a good situation for a true post player who is a mid year or immediate transfer.
