Mountain West sucks. Bet and fill out your bracket accordingly. The league is way overrated.

I like to think that I follow college basketball, but realized while filling out my bracket that I haven't actually watched a lot of these teams play this year. So take my opinion with a grain of salt. I don't really trust a lot of the 1s and 2s this year. Kansas has been impressive lately, but I don't think they repeat, especially with their lack of depth, but I'm not sure who beats them.
March madness is all about storylines, and there's no way to spin anything about Alabama into a positive story. I think they're going out early, if for no other reason than it would be bad optics to have them in the final four. I'm not suggesting NCAA officials might have an agenda, maybe call it karma, but the first close game they're in will send them home. Likewise with Texas. Aside from just being Texas and having a history of tourney disappointments, no one needs the Beard story and fallout in the FF.

Ok I made my real picks without much thought. I have Alabama, Tennessee, Houston and UCLA in the Final Four with Houston beating Tennessee in the championship.
Rick Barnes in the title game, thats a bold strategy Cotton. Solid agree on UCLA and Houston tho.

The whole left side of the bracket, just filled with teams i cant trust. Chaos in south and east, imho.

Does anyone have links to celebrity and TV announcer brackets? Funny how many are basically "chalk" brackets but it's interesting to see the ones that are a little more thought out.

I think the 4 Big East teams are strong and could see any of Marquette, Creighton, and UCONN in the final 4.

I thought the NCAA Tournament would showcase the “better” officiating. Much like the Superbowl and the NFL. Boy I was wrong! All games thus far I’ve been extremely disappointed.

I went in betting hard against most of the power conferences. The Pac 10 was trash so I didn't have Zona or UCLA getting very far. ACC was also garbage so I bet against them as well (picked Furman). The only SEC teams I really thought could do damage were Alabama and Tennessee, though I wasn't a believer in them either with the way they finished (Tenn).

People cried about TAMU getting shafted but the only shaft in their seeding was that they were seeded below Kentucky. When looking at TAMUs non con schedule they were terrible. They then had the most fortuitous SEC schedule one could hope for. They got Tenn and Bama at home, played most of the patsies twice (going something like 8 and 0 against the bottom feeders, then split against the decent teams they had home and homes with. Basically they beat Bama, a sliding Tennessee team, then midrange teams at home. Definitely not a resume worthy of of 4 or a 5 seed, as some claimed.

I think the Big 12 will fair very well and have a minimum of 4 Sweet 16 teams, likely 3 Elite 8 teams, and probably 2 Final 4 teams. It's just that much better than everyone else.

That was the first time I saw A&M play. Maybe they had a bad day, but that was about the worst looking team I saw yesterday.

Say we advance past Pittsburgh (hopefully), would you rather have Xavier or Kennasaw State? I’m not so sure the Kennasaw State would be the best matchup..
