Williams and Blum talked about putting together a package for the bowl game. They need 163 people. I haven’t seen anything about where to express interest. Therefore I’ve started this thread

I’m good for 2-3 spots.

Depends heavily on which bowl (or CFP) game we end up in and if travel is included.

Thanks! This would be charter flight from Des Moines, ground transportation and hotel. I know we would fill the CFP game, more curious on interest for the Alamo Bowl as the vendor we use isn’t convinced it’s worth anyone’s time if we can’t fill 160+ spots.

Huh?

When is the last time they put Big XII vs Big XII in a bowl matchup?
Colorado will likely get the PAC 12 spot. The legacy PAC 12 teams are still eligible for those spots because of contracts.

Dumb question...but if we were to make the CFP but lose in the first round...is that is for the season? (this question applies to any first round losses)

- sorry for being off topic

That is awful.

I really hope we win then (obvs.) Because Iowa State has had some awful bowl matchups in the past:

vs Boise State in Boise on their home turf
vs Memphis in Memphis on their home turf (twice)
vs Notre Dame (we were 7-5 & they were 10-2, lol wtf)

But I definitely don't want to play a fellow Big XII team in a bowl (unless it was in the CFP)

I think BYU is also a heavy favorite to get the spot against Colorado as well. Massive fanbase that travels. I bet you it’s Colorado vs either BYU or Iowa State. Colorado is almost a lock for the one spot. The Alamo bowl is going to want that national attention

And then we get to play Colorado in MBB three times this year, LOL. Four if the Big 12 tourney lines up.

most of the updated bowl projections have BYU in the Alamo and Iowa State in Orlando. I haven't seen a projection have Iowa State in the Alamo.

Most likely - playoff or Orlando

Yeah I don't think we will be in the Alamo. Looking like Pop Tarts
Yeah I can see BYU being a very attractive team for the Alamo bowl. They will bring a ton of fans plus tv exposure. Plus BYU also did not play Colorado in the regular season

I think Colorado would be a fun matchup. Would rather play them in Alamo than Clemson, Duke, Miami or Syracuse in Orlando.

1. Colorado is barely Big 12.
2. We haven't played them, so its not a rematch.
3. Would be the most hyped traditional bowl game BY FAR.
