if OU joined the north... who the heck would compete with them?? they would probably win the big 12 north 33 out of the next 35 years...

If CU pulls out of the Big 12...it would be nice for the Big 12 to look east in order to gain some TV market, but there aren't alot of good options that direction. Maybe Louisville??? I'm not sure what the Big East is really doing for them. Louisiville is bit geographically detached, but the distance from Louisville to Providence is about the same as the distance to College Station/Austin, and just a litte further to Lubbock.
Of course, there would be the Mother of all miracles...Notre Dame joining the Big 12...

Still would love to see Arkansas join the Big 12. Geographically it just makes sense but I'd say it's 99.9% certain that it will never happen.
Boise had looked at joining the MWC, that conference wanted the tie in to the Humanitarian Bowl and Boise St tried to use that leverage to join the MWC. I'm not sure what ever came of those negotiations. To me that would be the better jump for them, a leap to the Pac 10 might be a bit too much but the jump in competition to the MWC would be interesting. IMO Utah or maybe BYU would be the only realistic non BCS teams the Pac 10 would consider bringing in.
Yea this would be pretty cool but would probably require a realignment of the big 12(which would be a good thing).
Why couldn't some of the WAC & MWC teams do some cherry picking and frankenstein their own conference (somewhat similar to what the ACC did to the Big East a few years back) and petition/lobby for BCS status?
Speaking of Boise State, I think ISU should take up Boise State's offer. It would be a good chance to have a top 15 team at home, and could possibly be nationally televised.
