With Boise State being a powerhouse lately is there a reason why they dont look to join a conference like the PAC 10??? To me it would be a benefit for both parties involved. I would love to see them playing in the PAC 10 instead of the weak WAC that they play in now. Just wondering because all the talk about them not matching up with big programs would then be squashed.....

They really need to consult some marketing folks soon.
In this myfacespacebook world, perception is reality.

1) Rename your university "Boise". Drop the State.
2) Join the Big 12....I say we dump Texas and pick them up. Wouldn't life be cool if the Big 12 would really have evolved as the old Big 8 plus Boise, UNLV, Utah, and Texas Tech. That would be a good conference.

Why not join the MWC with Utah, TCU and BYU? the NCAA won't allow schools to move until after the 2010 season. The Pac 10 has mentioned they may look at expansion. Im not sure if that means Utah and BYU or Boise and Utah

I hope you are joking. If not, I could not possibly disagree with you anymore on either point.

Pac-10 has been looking at expanding to 12 teams...supposedly talking to Colorado and Utah.

I heard that Im surprised CU is looking at leaving the Big 12. If that is the case who does the Big 12 get?

I could see us taking TCU and moving Oklahoma to the north maybe? This would keep Texas and Oklahoma from killing each other ever year. Just a thought.

That's an interesting idea. I wouldn't mind that move at all.

But there's no way Colorado is leaving the Big 12... right?

WTF really... Boise State needs to join a big boy conference and if they are releavant the PAC 10 schedule would prove it. that is the most logical place for them to go... unless the BCS made the mountain west a bcs automatic bid which they should do then join the mountain west.. look at the BIG EAST conference they have no more of a right than the Mountain West at this point

Always interesting to look at BSU's recruiting class rankings for the last X number of years. They must do an incredible job of scouting and player development because they never have a highly regarded class.

I honestly think most of you guys have an awfully inflated opinion of Boise State. Their whole reputation rests on the one OU game. They play one game per year against a BCS school. And never outside the northwest since they went to Georgia and got absolutely whacked a few years ago. They would be an also-ran in the Pac 10 and would not win the Mountain West. They refuse to schedule Utah or BYU even though both are a bus ride away. TCU would crush them. I've seen them in person a couple times. They are not big or particularly athletic, TCU is both.

By "OU" do you mean beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta or do you mean being (probable Pac-10 Champion) #7 Oregon's only loss this year?

Who's saying Boise is great? We want them to play in a conference so that they will lose and we won't have to listen to all this BCS stuff from them since they only play 1 regular season game worthy of anything all season until the bowl game

The Oklahoma game..lol. Did you watch the Oregon-Boise game? Oregon was awful. That Oregon team bears no resemblance to the Oregon team that beat USC. It was the first game with the new coach and it showed.

I'm no Boise State fan, but there's a lot of inaccuracies here.

1. Their reputation doesn't rest on just one game. It rests on being I believe the winningest program in the country this decade. If they don't have the best winning percentage, they're in the top two or three.

2. They have five seasons since 2002 where they've gone undefeated or only lost one game. They've only lost four WAC games ever since joining the conference in 2001, with two of them coming in the first year.

3. Boise State has only lost ONE home game since 2002. That loss came in the 2005 Humanitarian Bowl against Boston College.

4. The year Boise State got destroyed by Georgia was 2005, Boise State's worst year since they started their run in 2002. It was bad timing for that game, and to base your opinion of their program off that one game is ludicrous.

5. Boise State actually did play a road game at Utah in 2006. The Broncos won 36-3.

6. Boise State played TCU in a bowl game last year and TCU only won by one point.
