He's not wrong. Exhibit A: all the rivalries no longer rivalries because money. KU/Mizzou, ISU/Mizzou, Texas/Texas AnM, Oklahoma/Nebraska, just to name a few.

He's dead on. We've lost a lot of the traditional geographical rival games , replaced by traveling half way across the country resulting in half full stadiums

I don't believe that's true. And even if so, it would be a horrid example of failure/success, assuming 'biggest' in your mind actually means stadium capacity.
