I know no one on here really cares, I just thought of this while checking scores.

How on earth do you schedule so the bracket so that the 4/5 game of Michigan vs Wisconsin is on at 1PM, but the 3/6 game Iowa vs MSU is on at 8PM in primetime? Those really should be switched...

They wanted to keep boring Wisconsin bball from being seen by lots of eyeballs. Too boring for people to watch and they'll just change the channel. I just saw Michigan is winning that game 20-17 at halftime.

They schedule the games well before they know what teams are what seeds. Plus you really can't have Iowa play the late game last night and then play an afternoon session today.

I agree outside of Indiana, MSU, Michigan and maybeeeeeeeeeee Ohio State the rest of the Big 10 doesn't impress me

Probably the same reason the 3/6 in the Big 12 was played in prime time while the 4/5 was the early game.

The MVC was also the same way, UNI played Illinois St as the 3/6 matchup in the last game of the day as well.

Almost every conference tournament is set up the same way with start times.

I honestly had not thought of that, that's a good point. I know they don't know which teams are seeded where when they schedule the tournament, but it just seems odd when it shakes out like that.

The success of Minnesota and Illinois out of conference and their struggles in conference have helped the B10 this year. With Illinois winning the Maui and knocking off Gonzaga at Gonzaga, then opening conf play 2-7 the media can run with that as a sign of how tough the B10 is.

No, the BTN and ESPN alternate, yesterday the day games were on BTN and the night games on ESPN2 and today the day games are on ESPN while the night games are on BTN.

The B10 did win quite a few non-conf games this year

You give the top seeded teams the longest amount of rest. Thats why Kansas gets longer rest than Okie State and K-State

Agree, I meant it mostly joking. But listening to the media here in Chicago, you'd think everyone in that conference is a legitimate National Championship Contender. The news last night was saying that with Minnesota and Illinois being locks, they couldn't understand why Iowa wasn't a lock either, "Their RPI shouldn't matter at all when you are successful in a conference as good as this."

There's no way I would have Michigan going past the sweet 16 at most, in my bracket, and I could easily see them out before that. I think Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio St and MSU will be tough outs though.
