On the road...
Doug put up 22 and 11 today in the first round of the 4A state tourney. Ames just manhandled West and won easily. HB only played 18 min and scored 11. I have a feeling we will see Ames and Linn-Mar in the finals, which will be a good game.

We have to get through tonight first.

Just got back from the Well. It was the first time I have seen Ames play. McDermott was very impressive. Nice touch, good rebounder and seemed to have very good court awareness. Very fundamentally sound which is probably a no brainer because he is a coaches son. He did make a couple poor outlet passes that were picked off but other than that he was the best player on the court today. HB was being double teamed and West also played some box and one on him. The great thing about Harrison is he did not force things and seemed truly happy seeing the other guys getting good shots. Ames looked like they were coasting and still had a 20-30 point lead for most of the second half. Kohler looked pretty athletic for a future offensive tackle.

I've heard Hutchinson is out for Linn-Mar for discipline reasons. Will he be on the court in the finals?

Nope, he's done.

He threw a party last weekend and the cops showed up. Kids had beer or drinks and got cited for possession under age. What an idiot, week before the biggest games of your career and you blow it on having some party. He will be regretting that for the rest of his life.

HB will probably take more shots next season to rack up his stats. He's gonna try to be a McDonald's All-American. Not something I know, just guessin'

Were you at the party? If it was a lame sausage fest, then you're probably right. Then again if some chicks doubled up on him, maybe not?

haha

He is a lock for for McD all american. Doesn't matter if he scores 15 a game or 50. He won't be trying to rack up his stats
