Tickets go on sale to the public today. I sent in a pre order and don't think I ever received a notice on whether or not my order was able to be fulfilled. Anyone's else received anything?

I think its a great idea and great concept...planning has been lackluster but the event will still be a good time for basketball fans in the state of Iowa.

I purchased pre-sale tickets Wednesday. Got charged and have the emailed tickets sitting in my inbox.

6-7000 at each game in a 14000 seat arena? Should be a great atmosphere...

You don't think any fans will stay for both games? I'm guessing many will. It may not be completely full but Hilton wouldn't be full for a game against Drake. Hell, the Knapp Center hasn't been full for the Iowa State game lately.

I would have liked to see it as a two day event with ISU playing Drake and UNI back to back.

I know a ton of people that are planning on staying for both games. If you are a basketball fan, it will be a great day to stay around the well.

I doubt many stay at all... The atmosphere at Buzzard Billys should be great though.

So, you plan on staying for a full game, the hour in between games, and another full game for two teams you don't care about? sure...

I requested tickets with my season ticket renewal and was told we'd find out about seats in November. I'm taking my dad (hawk fan) so we'll be staying for both games as well. I love the concept and I hope that the majority of people will attend both games.

Me too. Would have made a pretty cool little tournament and would make the state championship idea more real. Either way though, should be a good time.

That's exactly what I plan on doing. I'll see you there? Maybe not?

Hopefully the people who think like you didn't bother to get a ticket at all so that the tickets end up in the hands of people who can see the enjoyment in getting the opportunity to attend both games.

Hopefully they adapt it into that soon. That's the obvious way to do it. ISU/Iowa keep their regular series, UNI/Drake play 2-3 times in conference, then a two day event were ISU/Iowa hit both UNI/Drake in DesMoines.

I love it because the fact that @UNI is the only game through the years where we're likely to get screwed as much as @Kansas just isn't right. I can somewhat accept the world is just set up for refs to screw everyone KU plays, not so much accepting it for UNI.

That will never happen without it being an exempt event.

Do you know much about the event? Tip-off for the Iowa game is at 1:30 with tip-off of the ISU game at 4...max there will be 30 mins in between.

And I bet there will be 10,000 minimum for each game.

I'm going with a large group and we are going to both games. Other people I've talked to that are going have said the same thing.
