I think they're in a tournament with us as well, so we could see them twice next year

Testifying
Big east is my favorite conference outside of the big 12 so I’m in love with this match up.
I watch quite a bit of Big East basketball as well. FS1 has done a good job on their games.
While the Georgetown/Syracuse and WV/Pitt rivalries were good, I really like the “new Big East.” Xavier, Creighton, and Butler were good additions. I was suprised to maybe see the Butler addition over St Louis, even though Butler has a better program. I thought they might try and make all 10 Catholic.

We should go 8-2 at the absolute worst.

We could, but I'd be surprised. I admittedly didn't pay much attention to many Big East teams and haven't looked at what they're losing, but I'll guess we hover around 6-4 in this, with 8-2 being our ceiling.

Tech is the only one I feel really good about. WVU should win theirs. KU against Nova could go either way. Both teams strayed from their norms a bit this year.

I feel good about beating SH at this point, but we'll have a lot of new pieces. Texas , KState and Baylor losing wouldn't surprise me at all. They all seem to lose some weird games in the non-con.

OU has to replace James, and playing at Creighton is a possible tough match. OK St wasn't great this year, but they are at least home. TCU could be still figuring out who they are without Robinson and with a new coach.

Way up there
SH is always solid, this should be a fun challenge. It's always cool when we get other p6 teams at Hilton. Getting Nova at home would be pretty cool. Let's hope they mix it up a little and we don't see Nova/KU every year. KU always gets Kentucky, the shouldn't get Nova too.

Thoughts on how the Big XII will match up?
I actually didnt get the watch the big east too much this year. I was more into the NHL, but in previous years the BE is like the big 12 where the home team normally wins. My expectation is most of the home teams will win. There are a few head scratchers like Tech at DePaul. That would be our number 2 team vs their last place 10th team. For the most part I think match ups are fairly even.

Myles Powell is pretty good. I wonder if he is staying or trying to go to the NBA

It's possible ISU and SHU could meet twice next season ... both are in Battle 4 Atlantis field.

Likelihood of it occurring? Impossible to speculate until tournament bracket is established.

The Pirates are stacked next season. Four starters return (8 of the top 9 return) and they were one shot away from winning the Big East Tournament. Myles Powell would be hands down the best player on the court.

If they loose their coach to VaTech, I wonder if any of their top players would look to transfer.

As irritating as it may be, did anyone expect anything but a Kansas-Nova matchup when this challenge was announced? Especially for the first season?

Kansas and Villanova played this season. Next year's game was already going to happen as part of the home-and-home agreement. All they did was wrap that game into the Challenge.

Tech gets the Chicago market? I am glad KU didn't end up in Chicago! I saw KU blow a 20 point lead and lose to DePaul the last time KU played DePaul. But yeah...I was kind of hoping ISU would draw Chicago!

Love that they are doing this. Only thing with the SEC one is I wish they would move it to the non con part.

The knee tat tells me this dude is tough as nails. Please go. Thanks.
Seton hall got into a funny skirmish with Marquette during the big east semis. Surprised nobody posted about it on here when it happened
