Anyone received notification from ISU for tournament tickets yet?

The Sprint center announced tickets directly through them will go on sale next Tuesday, I assume that means everyone should hear soon.

My understanding is those individuals who will not be getting tickets will receive an e-mail today. However, seat allocations will not be occurring for another 7-10 days. Nothing against the ticket office but it is always amazing how Iowa State is the last school in the Big 12 to have their tickets allocated.

Just let me know if I have tickets or not...so if I don't I can begin to get them another way! Don't get it!

Based on the figures presented in the previous thread there is a slightly better than 82% chance a tournament ticket request will be filled (4200/5107). Cyclone club members and season ticket holders get first consideration. Most fans will be accommodated if they are patient. Many seats will probably be upper level and behind the baskets, so could be a little less desirable than your seats in Hilton. Last year's prices were according to location.

With all due respect I think those figures are quite inaccurate. The 5100 requests were the number of individuals requesting tickets not the number of tickets requested. You figure that most donors are request 2-4 tickets and some donors (Director Level) can request 8 tickets to the Big 12 tournament. The actual amount of tickets requested will be closer to 13,000 to 16,000. I would imagine that anyone in the Cardinal level ($500) or less will not be getting tickets this year.

Hope you are wrong RC, as I hope most of those that want tickets can get them. I think the actual figures (tickets/requests) were released last year, so maybe we will know soon. When we were young we used to go to the tournament even though we did not get tickets through ISU. The Big 8 and early Big 12's were some fun times. With the power and light district it should be fun even for those that do not get tickets. Especially if the weather cooperates like last year.

You sure bout this? That'd be a **** ton of tickets requested for just cyclone fans. I mean, I hope you're right.

In the letter when you requested them it basically said they are expecting a record number of request. And dont be surprised if you get turned down.

Also from the letter:

"If you have not been contacted prior to February 6, you will receive the number of tickets ordered."

So if you haven't been contacted, you should be getting tickets.

Head's up if you are looking to buy from Sprint Center and then turn around and sell them. Typically, their only option is to pick up in person by the person who purchased.

As someone else said. Ticket office said if you hadn't got a letter or email by Friday you have tickets. Would be nice to know the section though.

Last year most of the Iowa State donors were located in section 229-232 and 201-204. There were some other small pockets in the Upper deck as well. The lower level Cyclone sections were 101-103. The larger donors were located in Section105 and a couple of rows in Section 106. Basically, unless you donate at the Victory Level ($5,000) you are not getting tickets in the lower level. Still interested to know if anyone received this e-mail from the Ticket office.
