Wyatt Hendrickson from Oklahoma State University, and Air Force Academy graduate. Under the NCAA rules, Wyatt was allowed to transfer to OSU and compete and he earned 500k in NIL money. I had no idea people would pay that much for a wrestler.

You must have missed the information on Bo Basset getting $4M from TOE to wrestle, or the amounts for Cstar, Teemer, etc. Lots of money being tossed around these days for the programs with the big backers (PU, EIU, OSU).

The current mercenary system (1-year transfer for a huge bag) can potentially work a lot better in wrestling than in a team sport like basketball.

OSU and Iowa both went that route, and will continue to do so as long as their respective sugar daddies keep ponying up. Ego money isn't just for football anymore.
