Paywall, but first paragraph doesnt mention B12, only NBA. Whats it say about B12, and when is it supposed to start? This year?

"ESPN will sublicense Big 12 conference college football and basketball games to Warner Bros. Discovery that it can air on TNT, as well as on its Max streaming service."

It would have to start in 2025-26 to align with the new NBA deal.

Jesus Christ. Our **** better not start running on Max. Another friggin subscription.
Agreed. I'm fine with the occasional TNT game, but I don't want to add yet another streaming service to catch those games.

TNT would be a good platform for games based on how they do NBA & March Madness games.

But adding an additional subscription...ugh. If I did add a Max subscription I'd probably axe my Netflix sub.

It’s kinda weird that it’s just the big 12 right? Why not ACC or especially SEC?

I am assuming it has something to do with ESPN owning all SEC (and investing heavily) and owning all ACC. It is easier for them to sublicense the little bit of Big 12 they still own.

TBS was very involved in the Big 12 in the early 2000s so I don't think this is a bad thing for the Big 12. I don't think the Big 12 will get any less news coverage than they are already currently on ESPN (almost nothing).

And honestly, the Big 12 could use an advocate in the media. I know Fox tries to an extent, but they have divided interests... and don't get me started with ESPN.

Wait, Vandy isn't a power house like ESPN said when they beat Alabama? I'm shocked!

It's quite comical how ESPN spins everything now to prop up the SEC.

Does this include games for this season or does it start next year (2025-2026)?
