I have was thinking about this last night. Its got me curious. I am not a lawyer and I start to nod off when even trying to read this crap. My question: Is there a loophole that can kill this league other than teams just giving up their Grant of Rights? What happens if 9 teams decide to leave at the same time? Does that make the league defunct and they bylaws are exempt? Therefore GOR's don't matter???? is there a majority of members that need to be in place?

For example, What if this was all coordinated this summer: (Worst case scenario)
Leaving Academics, AA Membership, Teams being politically tied etc out of this.
These teams work with the Pac12 to because a 16 team league for the 2016 season
Texas
TT
Baylor
TCU

These Teams work with the SEC to create a 16 team league for the 2016 season
OU
OSU

These teams work with the ACC to create a 16 team league for the 2016 season
West Virginia
UConn or force Notre Dames

These teams work with the Big10 to create a 16 team league for the 2016 season
K-State
Kansas
(Forget academics or anything) This give them the KC market and a Top Basketball team.

That leaves ISU and all the Power 5 leagues are then at 16.

So here would be some notable teams that were once BCS league members or players at one time that would be left out in this situation.

BYU
Boise State
ND/Uconn (ND will never be left of anything most likely)
ISU
South Florida
Cincinati

All things being equal why would the B1G take KSU over ISU? KSU and ISU are both superfluous with regard to footprint so why not take the AAU member?

The B1G cares about one thing: TV sets. Adding ISU to the B1G adds zero TV sets and, therefore, zero value to the B1G.

KSU at least brings you the KC market.

Hate to say it, but true.

It clearly states a supermajority is needed to dissolve the conference. It defines super majority as 75% of the members, which would mean to prevent the conference from breaking up, you would need 3 schools to vote no.

Read the OP. Of two non possibilities ISU makes more sense for the B1G than KSU.

B1G looks for tv and money first. KSU would be a charity case like ISU, however doesn't have the academics, geography, and cultural fit that ISU has. ISU won't get in, neither would KSU.

B1G would probably try to pry away Mizzou from the SEC or Virginia or NC from the ACC before going for KSU.

This is far more likely...KU & MU to the B1G. And there wouldn't be any prying, it would take one phone call.
