Best work jeans for carpenters?

Hey carpenters, what are your favorite work jeans. I am looking to buy some new ones as i am not happy with my old ones. I have carhartt's and in two years they have been completely destroyed. Looking for something a little more durable (assumed carhartt would be good but have proven otherwise).

my only stipulations are that:

1. they need to be gray/navy/black (i often work in metal which turns everything gray/black eventually anyway)
2. Need to be carpenter style (has hammer loop and utility knife pocket on each leg.

what do you wear?

Duluth makes some good stuff. I find Carhartts pretty rigid and tough to get broke in.

I'm not a carpenter but I bought a pair of Carhartt jeans a few months ago and they're the most comfortable and fit the best of any I own.

These carhartts start to get holes in the knees around a year, year and a half. then soon after, get holes where keys rest in my pockets. by year 2 they are nearly unwearable. there has to be something better out there.

2 years of physical labor sounds like a long time, I don't think I get 2 years out of my jeans and I sit in an office all day.

There is probably a little difference between what he is talking

about and the jeans you wear to work.

Duluth trading and Carhartts can get spendy quick. I'm a fan of lee carpenter jeans. I have all three. Just depends on how much I want to spend.

I do love my Duluth jacked, maybe I'll drop the cash on a pair or 2 of pants. But man, they are indeed pricey

The link I posted has them for 51 on sale. They are normally 70. I believe they honor all the online sales at the store too.

I've completely switched from Carhartt to Duluth pants. Now i don't wear mine every day but they are far more comfortable and seem to last longer than any Carhartt pants I've had in the past. Stick with their heavier traditional material and they will last a long time.

I've got the flex material for when I'm spending time in the tractor, etc and will only be occasionally working on things. Their traditional material has turned into my go to pants for chainsaw work, days working on machinery, tearing out fence, etc.
