$20 for a single slice? Did you have it delivered to Fort Dodge?

I can't remember if I just offered $20 for a single slice or bought a whole pizza and only ate one piece because I didn't like it...

I think it was the second one...

I did enjoy hometeams specials.. I really like Caseys pizza. Jeffs is pretty good too.

1. Jeff's
2. Casey's
3. Papa John's

I went to Great Plains once... overrated in my opinion. I agree with ISUboi12 about the dough.... way too overpowering with nothingness. If I tried a pizza without so much damn dry dough, maybe it would have been different. I don't know.

But I do know that I will eat Jeff's, Casey's, or Papa John's without even hesitating!

I went to Great Plains once and it didn't live up to the hype for myself. Old Chicago's deep dish pizza is pretty good. It is made with cornmeal dough.

I drive from DSM at least every other month to get some Great Plains.

In DSM you have to try Big Tomato. Run by hippies who do it the old fashioned way.....stoned.

Old Chicago deep dish reminds me of the now hard to find Rocky Rocco's Pizza. They even have the big chucks of sausage that Rocky's used to have. I snarfed down plenty of Rocky's pizza after a night of drinking in Campustown. That was some good stuff!

Both times I went to Great Plains I got TERRIBLE service. Plus the wait was forever (which ok, may be a sign of good pizza). Each time to me the topping them self are at best meh. The dough seems raw and uncooked, powdery.... it's just not appealing to me.
I'll take Jeff's or Pizza Hut even over Great Plains.

What service is there to get, you walk up, order a pizza and sit down.

I had to repeat my order several times as they weren't paying a lick of attention to me. They got the price wrong both times. Another time they couldn't figure out how to count my change.
Just seemed like they were depressed emmu kids waiting for the next vampire meeting.

I would vote Great Plains but if I was wanting the best bang for my buck with a delivery Pizza I'd have to go with Pizza Pit. Not sure what they charge now but my floor was a big fan of the $4.99 late night special.

Anyone here old enough to remember Minsky's pizza--especially when they were in campustown in that crappy old building? Now that was awesome pizza!

What's the "new" pizza place on Duff like? I can't remember exactly where it is, down near Walmart/Target. Something's Pizzaria. Has anybody tried that yet?

I'm going to be in the meh crowd for Great Plains. Maybe it was just overhyped. but, it just seemed like so much dough, and hardly any ingredients. I was underwhelmed, but I've only been there once. I'd try it again, though...

Black Market Pizza is going to open up March 2. You guys should all go pick up a pizza. It's owned by three guys that got laid-off because of this lousy economy and they cashed in their 401k to start this pizza place (there was an article on CNN about it). Go to blackmarketpizza.com and just look at how tasty that pizza looks. I'll be there once it opens and help these guys out since they've had a rough last couple of months.

BBQ Bacon Chicken Ranch from Jeff's Pizza is so unbelievable I almost called Ripley's. But seriously, Jeff's Pizza makes so many kinds of pizza, you are bound to find something you like.
