What would you compare Honey Creek to?

My faves, just public.
1. Blue Top Ridge
1. Harvester
3. Legacy
4. TCI
5. Jester

I'm hoping Jester can bounce back after a rough year last year. When it is in top shape I think it's the best value out there...

4. Jester
5. Legacy

Honorable Mention: Blank
You also can't go wrong with Grandview, and you know you're a man when you walk 18 at Waveland in the middle of August

Last year is the only time I have played Jester, so maybe that is why it didnt make my top 5. Im also looking forward to seeing what Otter is like after the changes.

Honey creek is located just south of Boone in Ledges State Park. They just built a back nine a couple of years ago and it was coming along pretty nice last time I played there (Fall 2007 I think?). It's a surprisingly challenging course for a good price - I would definitely recommend at least checking it out.

Oh, I was thinking the new place by Rathbun. Anybody played there?

1) Lake Panorama---made alot of upgrades, lowered rates for this year
2) TCI---Bring a couple sleeves of balls
3) River Valley---My only sub-par round
4) Legacy---never go on a windy day

5) Honey Creek---needs some work on the back 9 but is the best price for your money. They used to have a 2 for 1 special one day.

12 at TCI is the best hole in Iowa hands down. Arnold Palmer himeself said it is one of the best holes he has ever had a hand in designing...

If Arnold designed the hole, you would call it a A-Hole.

1. Harvester.
2. Waveland.
3. TCI.
4. Copper creek.

On the road...
My top 5

Public/Resort

1 - Coldwater
2 - Blue Top Ridge
3 - Legacy
4 - Stone Creek (Williamsburg 9 hole, but amazing course)
5 - Bent Tree

Private

1 - Des Moines Golf (North)
2 - Des Moines Golf (South)
3 - Davenport CC
4 - Glen Oaks CC
5 - Hyperion Field Club

Also, Bos Landen went under again last fall and are now on their fifth owners. A group of chiropractors in Pella just bought it, so it will re-open this spring. It's really too bad the last owners were complete morons. They turned this course from Top 2 or 3 in the state to a steamy pile of...you know the word.
