It's a 13 point coasting win if they don't grab a freaking facemask...let alone all the other miscues.

No, it's more like a 30 pt win going away without all the stupid miscues. EVERYTHING had to go wrong for Baylor for them to lose this game, and it did.

Missing FG, dropping the onside kick, facemask called on a stiff arm (which I had never seen called until today, and of course they didn't see the horse collar tackle on the same play), etc, etc, etc.

So much for the B1G and their great defense though. Baylor scored 41 pts and threw for 500 yds against the best defense in the B1G, and that was before they let up and started screwing around with the big lead.

Baylor is good, but boy are they stupid.

Do you really think Petty's going to have that great of an NFL career? He's got "system quarterback" written all over him. Maybe he can aspire to be the next Brandon Weeden?

Hey Weeden's still cashing checks and is about to get some playoff money too.

Baylor did get away with an obvious holding penalty on the play where Cook through that terrible pick which should have put the game away

We had a team with a dominant defense. They were left out for a team that couldn't beat Va Tech at home.

Too bad that team lost to Baylor... Who lost to Michigan State.... Who was beat up by Ohio State... The team that did make the playoffs instead of TCU.

Transitive theory is fun.

Does that make the B1G 1-4 now this year against the Big 12? I can't remember?

Sure, as well as TCU vs Kansas, and TCU vs West Virginia and Alabama vs West Virgina. All of these teams resumes are extremely close, and OSU and Alabama were conference champs which the committee had said they would use as a factor and TCU was from a conference that couldn't pick "one true champion".

Too bad one of the teams doesn't have a one loss that is much worse than any of the others.

Like if one team lost at home to a very average team and another only lost on the road to a top ten team with bad calls going against them. Oh wait, that happened.

Apparently, so is trolling. Lotta Hawks showing up in the last 30 minutes considering neither of our teams was playing.

TCU is a conference champion. Committee just chose somebody else. Conferences don't send/pick representatives. That's not how it works anymore. The Committee could have chosen to include Iowa St. in the top 4 if they felt like it. There aren't any rules. Despite tOSU competing in a weaker conference and losing to an awful team at home, the dollar signs were just too large to pass up.

Takes quite the choke job to lose a 20 point lead after dominating 3/4 of the game. Baylor continues their tradition of embarrassing losses when the spotlight is on them.

Yet that "dominant defense" gave up 24 points to Baylor in the last 11 minutes. Love how everyone's crucifying Baylor for having the horrifying audacity to lose to a Big Ten team.
Breaking news: they had to play a lot tougher team in their bowl than TCU did...

We all know the key to being the best team is getting spanked at home by a 6-6 Virginia Tech.

While TCU is certainly the Big 12's best team, TCU is only a conference champion because Bowlsby was too chicken **** to follow conference bylaws and name Baylor the outright conference champion.

You mean like TCU had against Baylor earlier in the year?

Well other conferences don't because they have championship games. But that's exactly what the B12 did:

Bowlsby has said he will present Baylor and TCU as the conference co-champions to the College Football Playoff selection committee, which purports to consider a league championship to be a significant résumé line.

Dear Baylor Bears...Offense win games but Defense wins Bowl Games!

You mean MSU's dominating defense that gave up 41 pts and nearly 500 yds passing to Baylor in about 3 quarters of play? Yeah, great defense.

Baylor had this game in hand going away, but unfortunately they all believed it was over in the 4th quarter and let up big time and MSU didn't give up to their credit. Baylor is just dumb. Dominated the game for over 3 quarters, and did everything possible to let it slip away.

Baylor looked like the much better team. Baylor's defense was just as good as MSU's.
