What baseball cards were a snapshot of your youth? They didn't necessarily have to be the most valuable, but what cards bring you back in time?

I think it was Ben McDonald's? rookie card with the orioles upper deck that was a misprint and was suppose to be worth money. then he turned out to not be so good and its worthless now
Pedro Guerrero of the Dodgers was my fave player growing up. I have a bunch if his cards. I also loved going to 7-11 and getting Slurpies with the baseball coins on the bottom of the cups.
At one time I had the entire TOPPS sets from 1962 through 1969 and then I quit collecting them. My favorite cards were the 1965 set with the pennant on the lower left. They got thrown away later on without my knowledge (I know this happened to a lot of other people as well). A while back I bought some 65's at a card shop and I'll try to scan a few later on.
Yes, sounds familiar. I had allot of cards growing up in the sixties and seventies. I grew up on a farm, and once I got tired of them we ended up burning them. How studpid was that.
But if no one had thrown them all out, they would be worthless just like the cards from the 80s and 90s.
Would have to be the Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris cards cut out from the back of Post cereal boxes in 1962. Still have them. They aren't worth much but have good memories associated with them.
Also have the card below. My grandfather always wanted me to be a baseball player but I sucked at it. Claim to fame was taking a fastball in the face in Little League and bleeding all over home plate. Guys still remembered it at a class reunion decades later. I sucked but the guy below by the same name made it! Of course he was a lefty but had that cool name!

A lot of times I will search the web for baseball card info and a while back I came across this site. It has a photo (front and back) of just about every card produced (at least by TOPPS). I won't be able to have the cards that I had as a kid anymore but it's great to be able to look at them.

Dream Team was pretty awesome, and I am forgetting what it was called, but the Fleer insert with the drawings of some good players doing things from like 91-92 or so. Had McGuire with an American flag, and Mike Greenwell with the Green Monster, etc.

I started collecting heavily during the 91 Twins season, so most of my cards are from 91-92, including this entire Score set. I used to think the 1992 Topps were the sweetest cards ever. My favorite, though, is a dogeared Kent Hrbek Donruss card that I got autographed; I still have it framed.
