Looking for ideas for a buddy of mine, here are some of the details:

-About 6 of us going
-In mid October of this year
-No Vegas (been there, done that)
-Groom said he would like to go outside of Iowa, but other than that he's down for just about anything
-Probably leave Iowa Friday morning, return Sunday
-Would like to keep costs around $500/person

Any suggestions on where we should go / what we could do?

TIA

Last summer we had a bachelor party for our friend and he wanted to get out of Iowa too. We ended up getting a party bus to drive us to KC and went to the power and light district. It wasn't to bad in terms of the cost and it was a great time. But if your looking to be gone the whole weekend you have better options. We left Friday night and the driver has us back in Des Moines by 8am Saturday.

Party Bus.. they have smaller ones..
Im not sure on out of state so can't help you much on that

Find a major college football game, like the Red River Shootout for example. For $500 apiece you could probably have a pretty decent time.

Is the groom an ISU fan? Maybe look into hitting the Missouri game in Columbia and making a weekend out of it. P&L in KC on Friday night, and head to the game Saturday. It's only about an hour and a half from KC to Columbia, I believe.

He is an ISU grad & fan, I'm liking the sports ideas. Also, how can you go wrong with FEMALE strippers?!

Like some have said, kind of need some more details on what he likes to do. Are you all located in the DSM area?

If he wants to go out of state, and not to Vegas, I'd say catch an Allegiant flight to somewhere in FL (Tampa or Orlando), especially if you guys are big golfers.

If he's a big ISU fan I think the idea of going to an away game would be great too. Always a good time, especially if you guys rent an RV or a conversion van and can booze cruise it en route.

We did a bachelor party in kc just a little over a week ago. We went to a Royals game and hit up the Power and Light district. It was a pretty good time. We did that for a lot less than $500.

I know the Royals are off to a good start, but I'm guessing they won't be playing in Mid-October.

Normally I would say go with the strippers, but for you guys I think the ballet and some Zima's would be more fitting
