Was going to post how OU was so lucky that they didn't have to play on Wednesday due to OSU ineligibility. Then I realized that OSU would have taken ISU's 6 seed and bumped the 'Clones down to the Wednesday 7-10 matchup (v. WVU).

Tech is the #5 team in the country at home, including the #11 offense (Torvik). Away from home their offense falls to #209.

If we rebound at a decent clip and limit the dumb turnovers. It will be close.

IMO it's either ISU barely winning or Tech in a rout. No in between

How physical the refs let the game play out will be big. If it's a rock fight. We are in for a rough night IMO

Clones are a team that nobody wants to see in KC if they're playing well. A quick start against TT would really propel them. Scott Drew might be cheering for Tech in this one.

I feel like we won the matchup with Tech where the refs let them play. In Lubbock, Tech's run was fueled by getting 7 or 8 straight whistles. We lost by 12 but the FT attempt difference was 38-15 them. They shot 15 in the second half before we even got our first attempt.

In our win, we outshot them 19-15. Our attempts were basically the same each game, they needed a big advantage to generate enough offense to beat us in their win.

Bring on the rock fight!

Baylor went 2-0 vs. ISU and 0-2 against Texas Tech. My guess is that he is cheering for ISU in that game.

We could beat Tech or lose while scoring 40 points. Neither would surprise me. And that will be the case for however many games we have left this season.

I see no way to accurately predict a game involving this Iowa State team. Let’s get hot and make a run.

I feel better about the men's chances to make a wild run in KC than the women, and that's not a sentence I thought I'd be saying by the end of the season...sure the men have been on a roller coaster of a season, but the women have 2 teams they just can't beat, and that's Texas and Baylor...and they haven't even been competitive. Hopefully Hilton South provides some great games

I'm pretty sure in terms of wanting to play a specific team, ISU has to rank pretty highly on many peoples lists. Sure they could knock someone off, but who can't in this league.
Out of the top 25 teams Tech has the 2nd worst road record (3-7) only to LSU (2-8) - it could certainly happen Thursday.
And has hardly ever shown up in KC... for whatever reason.

Those two teams are just too physical and athletic for ISU. Most of what makes ISU work is guards getting into the lane and dishing for 3 point shots. If the guards can't make the other team help there are no kickouts for open shots. It would help if they called half the fouls that they make, but don't see that happening.
