Help: Avatar

Can anyone help me? Apparently Im not too bright because I cannot figure out how to get an avatar. Every time I want to choose a picture, I upload it and it says it is an invalid file or it couldnt upload the image. What am I doing wrong?

The system is telling you that you are using the wrong picture. When you try a pic that is more "you" it will accept it.

IN the upper-right part of the window, just below the banner ad, click on My Cpanel. You'll be taken to your User Control Panel page. In the Control Panel menu bar (to the right of the site menu bar which is all the way on the left hand side), scroll down until you see the "Settings and Options" category. "Edit Avatar" will be the first option under that.

Did all that... tried really really small pictures. Always get upload error.
