Iowa was one of the four schools blocked along with Tennessee, Providence and Virginia

Classy move by Memphis wanting to prevent him from making a terrible life choice of choosing to go to Iowa.

At the moment the only schools that I have seen listed as going after Nichols is Marquette and Notre Dame. Has anyone heard any other schools that have contacted him?

Nichols won't have the ability to go to any school he wants to because of the timing.

Also BDJ was contacted by several big schools.
he was being recruited by A little school called Kentucky Wildcats in case the Harrisons declared. They have a coach there I have never heard of. Coach Calipari I think??
Some school called UCLA was another. I'm sure there were plenty more that were never reported bc he got set on ISU pretty fast

His AAU coach was the one that floated out the names like Cincy, UCLA, Florida State, Kentucky, etc

There's stuff we haven't blamed BDJ for, so I guess it matters to some.
In the end, we got him. He had some good moments and some rough ones. Then the season ended, expect for people who will never be over Macho Grande.

We landed Royce because he didn't want to get on a plane to go to Kentucky. I don't recall that anyone seriously wanted BDJ either.

We have had great luck with transfers, but simply haven't gotten any of the highly sought after transfers recently. Also, transfer recruiting 5 years ago was far less competitive. Apples and oranges, IMO.

Ha ha Deonte Burton was a Top 50 recruit out of HS. His lone season in college he made the all freshman big East team. What in the world do you define as "highly sought after"? Lottery picks?

He was listed nationally as one of the top transfers (the top transfer by at least one article). He expressed interest in ISU fairly early, and committed after his visit. He would have had more interest without question.

I don't know about everyone else but I'm still blaming the frosted tips for the way the season ended last year.

I simply corrected somebody and then you, who claimed BDJ was highly sought after. That's false. He was well thought of as a basketball player, but his behavior made him untouchable for a lot of schools. He was ours with little challenge. Keep trying to change the argument though.
